Important Changes to BC's Apprenticeship program

All BC Electric Motor Systems Technicians will now be able to attend

SAIT for their technical training from 1st year on through 4rth year.

This has been approved by both the BC and Alberta, however BC

apprentices will not automatically be set up for schooling in Alberta.

BC apprentices wishing to attend SAIT will have to have their employer

1. Apply at BC Industry Training Authority (Ellen Brody (phone 1-778-327-5909)

2. Ellen Brody then sends you a ITA Apprenticeship Card and she will contact Sait

in Alberta.

3. Sait in Alberta then gives you an Apprenticeship ID#. Once you have this number

the employee then phones Alberta Sait and registers for class (1-877-284-SAIT).

For 2nd, 3rd and 4th year all you do is phone Alberta (SAIT) (1-877-284-SAIT).
